Yes...Sell it and get a V8. I have a 3.8
The reason I say this is, you said you have this firebird with over 500HP that you and your family take to the drag strip,(you showed me a video of this) yet you don't have a clue on how to mod your v6????

Re: Quick and easy horsepower (3.8L V6)

Yep, I know you said you had the 5.7L, you sent me a video remember?? I just find it hard to believe that you, someone who has a car that is over 500hp that you did the mods on, have trouble with a simple thing like "can a 3.8 have straight pipes" I am sorry I don't belive you..Guess since we live close by....I will have to see with my own eyes. One other thing is I think you said you were a teen..I don't know many teens who have the cars you say unless their your parents and just the 3.8 is yours

No big deal. I also have the V6 as you know. Wish I got the V8. But, didn't...And plan to very soon. I heard that the V8 has more problems, but really not sure on the firebirds.

Poppycock! They purr like kittens until you tweak them. Then they growl like jungle cats! Main problem in -some- LS1's is the oil consumption. Some of them eat a lot, some barely touch it.
