I have an 89 DOHC ZC, and i need a distributor, ive ben asking junkyards for a 1989 acura integra distributor amd no one has one, so i was wondering if there was any other car out there that i could use a distributor from?

Re: what fits my engine?
88-89 acura integra is the only 100% compatible one.
I'm sure you coudl use the distributor from any other OBD compatible honda engine with some wiring modifications such as using the internal cylinder sensor instead of the ZC's exhaust cam mounted one. pretty much any distirbutor is compatible with any engine providing its the same obd generation. I've personally ran my b18a1 with both b18a1 and d16a6 distributors with no problems. A friend of mine is running a d16a6 distributor on his b16a. As long as you can modify the mounting legs for it to fit and check timing for proper spec, it will work. |
