Oil change and Air Filter for 2003 GA GT

I had recently had my oil changed and as I was replacing the air filter the dirt and grime that had collected on this old air filter had a greasy texture to it. It was almost as if the air filter was wet and the dust turned into mud. But the air filter was not wet just the dust.

The day previous we had torrential rains and I was driving through large amounts of water (I did slow down as I was going through), now would this be a contributing factor the greasy texture or is this a more serious problem that I should know about.
Thanks

probably just due to the humidity and moisture from all the rain, but it could be a PCV problem, you might want to just replace the PCV valve just incase (becuase this can cause oil to drip into the intake and airbox if malfunctioning), its only about a $2 part and takes no more than 30 seconds to install
