Would this turbo be safe on stock internals?
I was thinking of getting a turbo kit for my 96 civic lx. Its a d16y7 engine with 130k miles on it. What i was wondering is would this turbo system FMAX Civic Turbo Kits Include from turbokits.com be safe enough for that kind of milage on stock internals??It does say stock internals but would it be safe for 130k miles??? Also can you say if this turbo setup would be good??Or are their other turbos that are better for cheaper. i am new to turbos.

Well, at this mileage the first thing you'll want to do is a compression test on all your cylinders. Then mainly you want to look at how much boost you want to run and how high your compression ratio is.

Re: Would this turbo be safe on stock internals?
i'd be more worried about your 130k mile automatic transmission holding up to the extra powerthan your 130k mile engine holding up to the boost.
