no that doesn't because he's not trying to be a know-it-all on a car that he can never come closer to owning. if you have some experience, its a different story, but spending time on a car-specific forums of cars they don't have.

argh i hate people who are so into xpensive cars like these. I love REAL cars like mitsus hondas and yotas, cars that poeple have theres no better way to say "I have a small penis" then to own one of these rediculously overpriced cars.

Depends on what you mean by "REAL" cars. All those model do great on track...so well that they almost don't exist. Those companies are also the first that comes to mind when it comes to luxury and elegance. Hrm...wait....no.....they're just ecomomy cars. They're cheap...thats all they really got going for em.

As for overpriced cars...if a McLaren F1 is overpriced, why did the company make no money off the cars? A McLaren will also hold its value a lot better than almost any other car.

As for the small penis...thing....I'm not even sink to that level. Some people can have a decent arguement......others have to try and punch below the belt to win.

Yeah. A "real car" is a Honda, a Japan-made car? I have a Civic, and I like driving it and its a good car (I never claim to own a Ferrari, or may never will-I'm still only 20). But I would never call it a "real car". Its like going to a muesmen and seeing a famous painting of work that would cost millions to own. Same like luxury and exotic cars. You can admire it, talk about it, see it, ect. What a car to some people may differ from other people. If one likes the higher-end, luxury cars that are built to prowl and are sharp, more power to them. If one likes the everyday, family-type, point-A-to-B, cars, then more power to them. Thats why some people like BMWs, others like Benz. Some like foreign cars, some like American cars.

fussman, your statement comes off as jealous and envy. "rediculously overpriced cars."-is it rediculously overprice? For you and me, yes. But to those who own it, the price is pretty much pocket change. Also, how many Ferraris do you see compare to a Honda? Ferrari makes under 5,000 cars a year.

Re: Does anyone in here actually own a Ferrari?

I stopped about a year ago and added up all I have invested in my RX-7 (close to $40K) Then I looked at my brand new Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works that I paid $38K cash for. Then I looked at my wifes certified pre-owned Audi A-6 that I paid $27K cash for. Before the Audi she used to drive a Dakota Quad Cab that we own outright and still own.

So I got to thinking, Why am I not driving a 80K Ferrari instead of owning the Mini and RX-7??

Simple, I chose the 87 RX-7 over the FD because I do not like the image of the FD, that being a my shit doesn't stink one.

Along that reasoning I would prefer my "sleeper" RX-7 that will whip up on almost every Ferrari and give the Enzo a run for its money than have a status symbol car. I love the Mini for what it is a nice little run around car.

I could easily own a Ferrari but choose not to for the same reason I will not drive an FD.

I'd like to see an RX-7 give an Enzo a run for its money, the only think the RX-7 has going by comparison is price (note that value could be argued).

I was talking to a guy back in Oct. at the last ALMS race in Laguna Seca. I was talking to him a bit about a Gallardo he owns and asked him about other cars that he drives and he brought up the fact that he had RX-7 and, just out of curiosity, asked him how it compared to to other cars he owned. He mentioned having fun with the RX-7, but it was no where near as fast as the Lambo and blows head gaskets as if thats what it was built for. Now as much fun as it is to fix blow head gaskets on an RX-7, I'd much rather be driving a Ferrari.
