How to ween the rich
I have a 2g tsi that is running too rich. I know that because my exhaust keeps getting tha sheezy black buildup and my exhaust kinda smells like gasoline. my mods are as follows,
turbo xs boost manual controler turbo xs Blow off valve RFL open air wanna be fpic also known as a OBX adaptor and a 4.5 inch cone 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back new o2 sensors up and down stream new iridium plugs and MSD 8.5 superconductor wires. Anyone know how to get it to run alittle leaner. Where I live high octane gas is alittle expensive and its making my tanabe muffler look like an apc

recirculate your bov. do a search on dumping your bov and you'll find the reasons behind it, or check the FAQ

EVen when I run as lean as 13:1 I still get that crap in the ehxuast. Except that on leaded fuel the deposit is white. No way around it, turbo cars run rich. 9.5:1 from the factory
The RFL will only make you a touch rich when shifting, unless it is leaking. Any boost leaks after the airflow sensor will result in a rich mixture.

to recirculate the BOV (like my GReddy S), u just plug a hose from the only open outlet from the BOV to anywhere into the intake pipe, correct? I did just that and it seems to run a little less "jerkier" between shifts, but the BOV still sounds as loud as when i was venting... did i hook it up right? because i hear recircualting it should cause the BOV to be not as loud.

I think I am gonna recirculate the bov now. thanks for your help... I cant wait till my other motor is done.... I am stroking a 6 bolt and trying to put about 25 psi of boost to it. that should be a fun run minus the lag. I am eventualy gonna try to get into the low tens. heres to hittin the mark.

It will still be loud recirculated. If you dumped the big outlet back into the intake pipe before the turbo, yes you did it right. As long as there are no leaks.
25 psi on a stroker isnt going to get you in the low tens unless the car weighs very very little. In my 2g (3300 with me in it) 27 psi has been good for low 11s. With really good launch/driving, I could hit a very high ten. Low tens requires a large increase in power. Just for fun guys I did some math last night. Two cars running 135 mph in the quarter, one 3300 pounds like mine, the other 2800 pounds. Mine requires ONE HUNDRED more WHP to hit that mark. Gay.

Holy shit. 100 WHP more? thats nuts....so its gets exponentially more expensive per extra marginal reduction in 1/4 mile time.

I will be using a venom fully programable
nitrous kit also that gasses btwn 2500 and shuts off at 5500 in each gear. Water injection, and cryo. we are expecting to be in the 650+ hp range . Remember, A DOUBLE STACK WINS THE TRACK ....Oh man, think about how many motors I will blow in a year... I think I am gonna need more sponsors....
