Upper Ball Joint
Hi all, got a problem hopefully someone can help me with. I have been noticing this clunking noise coming out of my front drivers side for a little while now, so I take the tire off and check stuff out to find that the upper ball joint was about fall apart. So I went and got another one, (the parts store didnt have the ball joint and a-arm assembly together, only the joint seperately) So my question is if anyone can explain to me how to get the old joint out of the a-arm and the new one in. Thanks in advance for any input.

Re: Upper Ball Joint
The easiest way is to take it to a machine shop and have them press them out/in. I have never heard of a top joint going bad though, while I have already gone through several lower balljoints (on the lower lateral link, the recalled piece). Interesting.

Re: Upper Ball Joint
if you can you should take the car to mitsu and see if the recall has been done on the car yet! if not then you get new ball joints for free!!!
