Question Studio 27 high tech decals

What makes them "high tech" as opposed to their regular decals. Thanks. Mike.

There is no carrier film. You peel off the clear tape like material from the decal after they dry so they look like a dry transfer.

BTW: Most (if not all?) decals of Museum Collection are high-tech decals...
The decals cover mostly the same subjects as Studio27 ones, but are also a bit cheaper.

Re: Studio 27 high tech decals

In addition to Mike's question then, if you peel off the carrier film, how do you get high tech decals to conform to complex surfaces?

Your guess is as good as mine. I have heard of removing the film the rewetting and using solvents. I would not buy them for a car with a lot of problem areas.

Re: Studio 27 high tech decals

It's not a car with a lot of problem areas, but there is one spot where the decals have to form around a vent and this makes me nervous/wary.

I'll have a look to see what you have in stock David as a possible substitute in the event that something does go wrong

Re: Studio 27 high tech decals

You apply high-tech decal as you do with normal water-slide decal, and let it dry. Then, use a weak tape to gently lift the carrier film.
