windshield wiper wiring

so here's the deal. i took my steering column apart to tighten some loosed bolts. unfortunately i could not reassemble the column. so i found a column from a 85 buick regal that fit my 87 el camino. but the regal had intermittent wipers and the el camino doesn't so now the wipers dont work except for when i use the wash function. is there a way i can make the wipers work? thanks for your help and sorry for the long post.
