shut off problem
Mine does the same thing but I think I found my problem. On the side of the fuse box looking from the drivewrs fender there are realys mounted on the side towards the engine. 1 the 2 closest to the driver are fuel relays. remove them and check the connections. I sometimes just have to get out, remove them and plug back in and they work. DO NOT replace with american made relays, they arent the same even though they are diagrammed the same, either get some out of a junk yard or buy one from BMW. Hope this helps somewhat.
