I am trying to change a radio/cassette player in my 94 maxima. I have pulled it out of the dash, but the screws to the mounting brackets absolutely will not budge. I have stripped one of the screws. I have heard that nissan puts some type of solution on it, to prevent you from getting the screws out. Is this true? Is there anything else I could do besides going to nissan, and purchasing the a new set of brackets?

If you have the bracket in a place where you can safely do this, applying a propane torch to the screw for a few seconds will breakdown most locktite style threadlocker solutions

Re: Changing Radio on '94, screws will not come out - HELP!
their isn't lock tight on the screws you need an impact driver and a small hammer
