97 2.2 knocking

Hi all,
Question 1:
where do I find parts for this engine?
Story:
Daughter's car is "ticking" (per phone call) no problem, timing chain issues I was guessing (some what common).
brought car home and it is knocking bad, sounds like a rod.
Start calling around and even the oil pan is a dealer part?
so I need help finding:
oil pan
rod and crank bearings
seals..
not go fast parts, but more like low $ parts for a 135,000 mi. go to school car.

Question 2:
looking to pull engine this weekend, any hidden problem, or tricks I should know about? It looks pretty simple!!
Thanks for any help,
Greg (dad)
