735I Dashboard Continuos Gong
Hi there,
I have a '88 BMW 735I and whenever I turn the key into '2' position,the dashboard computer display goes off and just starts gonging and it doesnt stop until I rev the engine hard ! There wont even be any display until the revving ! This happens even while driving. The computer display just goes off and the gonging starts until I rev the engine hard. That's driving me nuts !Before I take it to the BMW dealer I'd like to know what might be the problem. Any help will be appreciated ! Thanx

It's a 'motherboard' failure in the cluster, if you review so past posts with more info on a repair of the board but from what I recall, replacment is the permanent solution [replacement is what I've always done, with no recurrance].
