I would lose to a Saturn?

Ok looking at the specs for a Saturn Ion Redline it hits 60 in 6.1 with a 1/4 in 14.7....My Rsx does each in 6.8 and 15.4

PLEASE somebody tell me that I can beat a saturn!! I mean its a saturn, how can it be faster! and noticably faster! honestly somebody lie to me or give me something to take out of this

Re: I would lose to a Saturn?

My advice would be to stop looking at cars based on what brand they are from. The Ion Red Line uses forced induction and your car does not, so not surprisingly, it's going to be faster.

the Saturn is also underrated. so its not actually 200hp like your RSX. 200whp is the true power rating for the saturn. plus your interior looks a shit load better and is made of waay better material and also handles better then the Saturn.

Re: I would lose to a Saturn?

Ions are nice. In fact if I had money I'd probably make it my 40 somethingth car... But that's just because I like alot of cars before it... I guess I'm a man of many loves. But yeah, anyway... I'm really not sure where this is going so I'm going to shut up.

I know all around they are decent cars...but they are not fast cars, never really were...so the thought of me having to explain to ppl how a saturn just smoked me off the line, is embarassing

Re:

Saturns have dent resistant side panels.... that's all I know about them... They're kinda like cavaliers/sunfires etc.
I have no clue why people don't like them... cause they're relatively inexpensive and an economy car? kinda like a kia/hyundai i guess... i dunno, I've never liked them... but they aren't bad.

Saturns arent that bad, ive got a 2000 and a 96...both sl bodys... 96 has a engine swap to the dohc version in the sc's... got it bored out to 2.0...few other things done to it...all in all i produce 210 fwhp and 190ish fw torque naturally aspirated...just took...well some work, there are guys out there with +300 with t3 turbos... ive watched saturns take everything...even the car that seems most precious on this forum..the 240sx... they just...take more time and work then most others to mod and get going... hell its hard to find stuff for them period. dont be embarrassed to lose to a saturn... more then likely hes worked harder then you to get to where he is...or she for that matter... and i dont have to worry about you denting it after the race :-P, its a really light car...basically a cav engine, its a good engine..can take a beating...just seems to be restricted...gotta get this damn fuel cut off taken care of... 103 restricted is hurting me.

Re: I would lose to a Saturn?

They're fast because they're turbo'd. If I turbo'd my Tiburon, I'd get equal, if not better, times. Samething with your RSX.

Re: I would lose to a Saturn?

The Ion Red Line is S/C, not turbo.

I was out in my Mustang GT a couple months back, and a redline gave me a flyby. I caught up and we raced. I had it off the line and through the top of second gear (60 mph). After that, it caught up and by fourth gear, it was gone. Don't underestimate the Saturn. I did...

You're driving something from Honda and you're surprised that everything can beat you?
