fuel filter?
every once in a while when i first start my 96 gs is just kinda half dies out and then comes up to idle and runs fine.. its usually when its cold or something and iv only noticed it like 3 or 4 times in the past few months.. so you all think i need to replace a fuel filter or something? i dont know but i dont think it could hurt to replace it. prolly time for plug wires too. plugs should stil be good replaced them 15k ago..

Re: fuel filter?
ussually when you ignition wires get old, they let moisture thru which would cause your engine to stutter or stall when cold, try changing you wires if they are old

Re: fuel filter?
When the car is idling, there is very little fuel flow required. That is not the time a dirty filter would be an issue
I cant count how many times poeple change filters for no reason. The danger with a clogging filter is at high fuel flow, or when you are making a lot of power (WOT, under boost, high rpm). They should be replaced regularly anyway, so it doesnt hurt. Just had to point that out
