my parents just bought my sister a 99 ex 4d auto, we dont think the tranny is working right. it seems to rev up and then shift instead of shifting right away like it should, does anyone know if this is normal or what the normal shift points would be? i havent ever drivin an automatic civic before so it could just be that im not used to it, thanks.

Re: 99 ex shift points?
One thing you could put into factor is how hard she is pressing down on the pedal, that'll make it do it. Also, is she steadily pressing the gas more and more as the car speeds up cause that will do it also. Does it with my mom's camry.
