Wrong forum but I need help fast

Okay my 97 prelude sh is messed up. I let a friend drive it....Stupiest thing.
Anyways going about 95 and misses 4th goes to second. lets clutch out and something popped. Car still runs with no knocking but wont keep an idle or start without hitting the gas. There is no service engine soon light or anything. I know that someone has to be able to help me. I am going to take it to the honda dealer and have them scan it friday. Any ideas?
Mods I know its the wrong forum but the prelude forum is dead and I have no other source of info so please let this stay here.

you also may want to do a compression test and make sure nothing hit or blew...

Re: Wrong forum but I need help fast

Americanfeagle03 remeber that Karma is a real thing and that you really shouldnt talk shit I do remeber when u were a newbie and asked the stupidest and most annoying questions I think any of us regs have seen here in a long while. And still with all that BS on your car I would leave you on the line and never look back each and everytime.

Turns out there is a knock. A bad one. to be exact rocker arm/valve knock. Something about 9K and the strain on the motor since the tires basically locked up at 95. Anyways taking it to get it fixed tommorow. coming straight outta his pocket too. Im not too bummed could have been a piston or a transmission...

Re: Wrong forum but I need help fast

mellow, I'v reved my 258 I6(thats 4.2 liter for the people who dont know) to 9500 before. I think I could hit 10000 with no problems, I'v seen people do it before.

Re: Wrong forum but I need help fast

Not on a prelude or any honda since its not built. The 258 is probably built to rev high?

Re: Wrong forum but I need help fast

LoL that would be dope. I love straight 6 motors. They even produce torque just like v8s !

Re: Wrong forum but I need help fast

yeah I havnt dyno'ed mine, but factory specs were 19something HP and 280ft/lbs torque. I'v had 10 inch slicks on it and it would spin all the way through 3rd (4 speed tranny) without powerbraking or poping the the clutch.
