Info on this integra..

Hey everyone, I'm new to the Acura forums..I usually spend my time on the Thunderbirds. Just today I noticed a car for sale, but the owner would not be around until later next week and I wanted to go ahead and round up some info on this integra. I have no idea the year, engine, or reliability of this car and want to know before I get really interested in it. I hope the pic tells enough so that you can help me (the pic is in the link).

i THINK its a 94-97, maybe a GSR because of the wing, but maybe an LS. its a VERY reliable car if it was taken care of properly. looks damn nice from that angle. thats all i can tell ya based on the pic haha

Re: Info on this integra..

Integras are very good, reliable cars. I can't really say anything about the ACTUAL car however, just the model line as a whole.

definitely 94-97 (3rd generation), can't tell which model. but if it is a gs-r it will have a B18C DOHC vtec engine having 170 hp and i'm not sure about torque but maybe 124 ft/lbs? no automatics for the gs-r only 5-spd.

If it is any other 3rd gen model it will have a good ol' B18B DOHC non-vtec engine with 142 hp? and 127 ft/lbs? (my numbers are probly a little off sorry bout that) and could be auto or 5-spd.

either way it is a very very reliable car, and will more than likely hit 200,000 with only minor repairs.

2800 seems very cheap, so it is probly not a gs-r. even my 93 books for like 4600. may have very high miles for that price.

No, No sarcasm here. I don't know how you expect anyone to answer your questions correctly when the only info you have is a bad pic. At the very least you could actually walk up to the car; look at the registration sticker for the year, look in the windows for the miles on the odometer, and write the vin # down to do a check. If you got that info you'd be set and be able to get more feedback from people than from a f***ing picture! Just by looking at that picture, for all anyone knows the car could have a blown motor or no motor. It wouldn't be very reliable without a motor would it? (there's some sarcasm for ya) So again with you asking info about the car from a bad pic I say, you're kidding right?

Well there Civic, you see when I said that the guy wouldn't be around it meant that I couldn't get a good look inside..its hard to find a registration sticker when the doors are locked. I only asked for the basics of the car, you can usually tell an approximate range of a cars year "even from a bad f**king pic!" and that's all I was asking. Lucky for you, (and me because of you) the car has 150,000 miles on it and that's not for me so I will no longer be hanging around these forums. Thanks to everyone other than Civic, you DID give me the basics of what it could be.

well for 2800, you could easily find a low mileage engine to drop in there and resell it for what the car is worth. body looks in good shape. just my

Re: Info on this integra..

The registration sticker is on the windshield near the inspection sticker (maybe the setup is different in Missouri). And you don't need to open the car to look through the drivers side window and see the odometer, and clearly the windows aren't tinted so you would in fact be able to see it. And yeah I was no help... I just told you easy ways to find out the exact year it was, which model (could have helped with that from the vin), and reliability based on how many miles were on it. Sorry those ideas are too above your head.

You can copy down the VIN from the outside of the car. It's near the driver's side of the windshield.
Researching the VIN will give you the Make, Model, Production Year, Trim Level, Paint code, Engine Code, (am I missing anything else?)..
You can also use it to research if it has a Savlaged Title, outstanding parking tickets, or get a quote for insurance.

My advice is to never get too excited about a particular used car. The car can have a shit load of Parking Tickets attached to it. Shop around and take your time.

Too bad, we need more people like you; who expect answers with giving no information, and aren't willing to take the time to get info to help other give you the right answers.
