He probably meant to do some drifiting, then halfway through his drift, he sees a motorcycle heading is way. Then he brakes (3secs into the video). Hitting the brakes while you're in the middle of a drift like that? or even during a high speed corner? Wasn't entirely his fault, but then again, he should have taken up some driving courses before that so he'd be prepared if obstacles come in the way.
