Transmission shift feel

How does everyones transmission shifting feel ? My 2000 with 70K had a filter change less than a year ago, everything looked very clean, also had a flush done a few weeks back and was told everything about the old fluid looked excellent. Still the transmission lacks a noticeable shift feel to it. 99 % of the time the 1-2 shift feels OK (except going up a steep hill) but sometimes shifting between 3-4 at high speeds is barely noticeable at all. It doesn't feel like it's slipping at all though.

I am wondering if it is worth it to put a Hypertech Power Programmer on it to firm it up.

Anyone ?
