Exclamation Eclipse RST Problem..NEED HELP!

Hey everyone. I am new to this site, but while looking at the search, I can tell alot of you have some good knowledge on the eclipse RST. I have recently built my RS with Forged pistons and rods because I had turboed it and blew out the ringlands on two pistons. So obviously, I was running too much boost. Everything was rebuilt, got the head ported and polished. Now that everything is back together, I have a problem that I can't figure out.
When first put back together, it ran perfect. Now, if I shift into third gear and get on it, my blow off valve goes off and the car starts to feel like I shifted, but haven't. It is kinda like the feeling of letting off the gas even though I am not. What is it? How can I fix it? Any suggestions?

So it sounds like a problem with your blow off valve or the vacuum hose thats supposed to go to the manifold.

What would be wrong with the blow off valve? What would I need to look for to see if something is wrong with it?

Could be leaking, or could be hooked up incorrectly as to cause it to open prematurely. What kind do you have?

Re: Eclipse RST Problem..NEED HELP!

what are you using for a fuel controller and injectors/pump? and how much boost are you running? sounds to me like your maxing out your injectors/pump... doesnt feel anything like fuel cut, it feels as if you let off the gas or the motor died!

I don't have a fuel controller right now but I do have my air/fuel ratio gauge set up. It is always runnig a little rich, but not much. I have 350cc injectors and BBK fuel pump (not sure on the size right now, at work can't look )
It isn't fuel cut at all because I had that happen really bad before I got the pump.

i know its not fuel cut... but you need a fuel controller, your A/F gauge is worthless in my opinion, what are you using to compensate for the added air that enters the motor? and how much boost are you running?

Right now since the car started acting up, I turned it down to 8 psi. Before when I had no problems with it I was running 15-20 psi.

Re: Eclipse RST Problem..NEED HELP!

what are you using to compensate the MAP sensor so the computer doesnt see so much pressure in the manifold?

also, the S-AFC2 will work on any car!

EDIT: i dont under stand how you ran 15psi with that set up... no fuel controller will put your 350 injectors to stock level cause the computer doesnt see them as bigger so they will only flow the stock 240cc level.

I don't have anything for the MAP sensor. What do I need? And if the S-AFC 2 work on every car, what wires do I need to hook up to make it work?

The car ran a solid 15 - 20 psi, no problem until recently.
