I have done alot of research and the only easy swap I have found besides the stock B20a5 is the JDM B20a. It is the only motor i have found that will drop right in without any mods. You will have to swap the intake and distributor from the u.s. motor. I believe it only adds 11 more horse. I just payed for mine tonight($650.00). H22 would have been great but $$$$$ to much for my budget. The H22 would have been a head ache from info i have found. If you pm me in a few weeks I will give you the outcome and info.

that motor will swap right in without changing anything, you just get rid of all the emmisions crap in there. That is a good swap though.

Question

Ok now what about a B18A (type R) engine what would i need to swap that in for my B20a5 and it is even possible? I mean i know about the H22a swap but i'm not sure i have that kind of $$$ and plus i wouldn't have anybody to do the swap for me.

The b18 swap is possible with lots of money it has been done, but with money anything can, an h22 is more common but also costs thousands, and there is mount kits for this, the easiest swap is a jdm b20a.

Any swap can be done with the right materials, a torch, and a welder. If you have the money to do an H22 do it. Otherwise do the B20a if you are on a budget

The least expensive H22 are on ebay. And you can find Place Racing mounts at www.fullthrottlenyc.com . They are like $550 You can find all of the swap info at prelude3g.com
