hello,this is my first post here goes our garage had a 1995 vw jetta towed in, no spark and no reference signal to the injector. i say distributor and other mech saya ecm ....anyone have a opinion? thanks

When my 96 did that it was the ecm. There are many other things in the loop here. Get a schematic and take a look. Eg. the cam position sensor.

First check the outer two pins of the distributor harness connector for 12V with the key on. Then plug the connector back in & backprobe the center wire with a test light (LED preferred) connected to battery +. The light should flash when cranked, otherwise the Hall sensor in the distributor is bad.

i will check the distributor tomorrow when the guy who said ecm isnt around, i am the one who said distributor thanks for the info ill let you know how it goes thanks again

well i checked the wires no power to either outside wire....ecm?

Check the power supply relay, it's on the main two-row relay panel (not the add on sections above). It's the top row, third from the left. Or you can look at it as second row above fuses, third from left. Try jumping pin 30 to pin 87 to bypass it.

been real busy but back on vw didnt see any relay just a blank spot
