Interior Lights Will Not Turn Off HELP

I recently had a couple of speakers put in and now my dome lights will NOT turn off. It is not a result of bad wiring of the speakers. (two twelves and a amp) because i completely removed everything and the lights still will not turn off. I had to take two circuits out to get my lights to go out when the car is off. It is the horn circuit and illumination circuit i believe. My vehicle may think one of my doors is open when it is really closed. How would i check for this problem? Maybe a circuit has blown, what can i do to check this? (although i pulled out all the fuses in the fuse box and none were burnt) What else can i do??? Im on the verge to taking it to a chevy dealership and seeing what they can do but they will charge an arm and leg. Please respond asap.

Stay away from the stealer! Make sure the dome light thumb switch in the dash isn't moved all the way to the right. Next open each door and press and snap release each door switch a couple of times. This is a good start.

Check your rear hatch. I had the same problem with my interior light. I put one of those felt chair leg stickers on the hatch where it meets the door switch. Interior light has gone off every single time since.

Talking

I found recently that when the power switches (for windows/locks) panel on your door is off the lights wont go out. If you bust the little tab that goes into the door panel to keep the switch panel in place your lights wont go out. Don't know exactly how it works, but took me awhile to figure it out when doing my speaker replacements. Hope this helped.

Had the same problem driving me nuts for a month and it was the switch on the rear dome light causing the whole problem.I went to the GM dealer and asked one of the service techs if he ever saw this problem and he told me the first thing to check was the rear dome switch and that was what it was.For a change the answer cost me nothing from the dealer........

What exactly was the problem? What did you do to fix the problem? Were any parts needed for replacement?
