VR-4 exhaust question HELP HELP HELP

1.Dose the 1997 VR-4 have any exhaust sound or is it quite??????

2.Is there any web site that i can read porfessional reviews about the VR-4, like car and driver, road and track and motor trend?????

Pretty sure the 97 exhaust would sound like my 98 stock exhaust. It sounds pretty good around 2 or 3 rpms...then I don't notice it over the engine and turbos spooling after that. I do like the sound of the stock exhaust, what do u guys think would give me a roar like that for catback exhaust?? borla?

any cat-back will give a nice roar, its the after market mufflers that give you the sound though. the ressonator determines the tone but if you seek performance then I would suggest the HKS exhaust kit for the VR-4.

ATR and Borla are two highly regarded exhausts for our cars. Borla has a deeper tone, ATR is said to flow a bit better.

stock sound is pretty nice, lol espically when u start it for the first time in a day on a cold start it sounds really nice. But if u get an exhaust system it's gonna sound pretty damn good.

stock exhuat sounds like shit and will continue to sound like crap unless you get rid of the pre-silencer's on the headers and the down pipe , i personally run 3 inch straight pipe into a 3 magna flow and this has given me the best sound, keeps it quite at idle but nraps out real nice i have had probally 5 different exhast systems on my vr-4 but i also have a mid pipe i run in place of my cat cause with my bigger turbos, larger injectors and fuel system my cat wouldn't last a week so i only bolt it back on for emmisions

exhaust on a vr-4 will never be loud, because there is a nice big restriction in the exhaust which makes that car, the vr-4

and this is coming from a guy who has no cats on the car, a stillen downpipe, an aftermarket catback with straight through mufflers
