Re: Gsr Or Type S

Are you kidding me? Get the S... Unless you're one of those beginners that stalls out in the middle of every intersection...then you'd just be an embarrassment to other Type-S owners. They respond very well to mods and you can turbo both just fine- but remember the high compression on the S if you go the FI route.

The Type S.
www.cybernationmotorsports.com
A street RSX (not on slicks or anything either) is in the 11's with their stage 2 or 3 kit.

There's also lots of NA mods, NOS kits, and Jackson Racing has a supercharger. Soon Comptech will be releasing one too.

well I really like both cars alot... however a few things to think about are...

1. Price: the gs-r will surely be cheaper
2. Mileage: Type -s will more than likely have less miles on it
3. aftermarket: while probly not true for long I believe the gs-r still has a slight advantage in options for aftermarket parts.
4. performance: ehh about the same.
5. Styleing: hmmm your call, I think they both have strenths and weaknesses.
6. Handleing: I'm not sure but I believe the S has a better suspension

Re: Gsr Or Type S

if ur going to turbocharge the type-s, theres another step u have to do, which is to reprogram the ecu. it cost about 30-40 dollars more if u buy a kit from rev hard, and what u do is remove the ecu send it to their company so the can have it reprogamed, then they will send it back and u install it. this is true for the rev hard hard kits, so im thinking any of the other kits for the type-s would have to a similar procedure.

Re: Gsr Or Type S

The other turbo kits use different systems - The GReddy uses E-manage and Cybernations is about to release Gaurdian. That's what you'd use for engine management.
