i have not gotten a paint job from maaco personally but I have a couple people i know that have gotten paint jobs from them and they are horrible. After about 3 years the paint starts chipping away by itself and it just gets worse after that

I hear they do little to no prep on your car, just basically paint over your existing color for a few coats. A real paint job shouldn't cost so little, I think there lowest advertised price is like, 250 or something?
To Properly paint a car, you have to sand down existing paint, bondo all the low areas, fix rust, primer, sand, paint, wet sand, and clear coat.

Re: paint job
I know I guy that's great with body work that currently works at Maaco. He said he would never get work done there. Basically you get what you pay for.
