A/C problem
1999 Chevrolet Silverado, 5.3L eng., Auto Trans
My A/C seems to be blowing with less power than it used to ... it's still cool air coming out, just with much less force. I honestly can't remember specifically when or how it happened, it just seems to be much weaker now. I have to set it full blast on #5 to even think about cooling the truck within 15 minutes. Anyone have a suggestion? Thanks ... |

Change the passenger side air filter. There are two of them under the glovebox. Check your manual to specifically locate. Replacements at dealer(only place I could find them by the way) cost $30, if you don't want to drop that much, just pull the old ones out and blow them off.

Advance Auto sells the filters for about $20 or so...... Purolator #C15388 I believe. Also, eBay has a few listings.
