Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

ours have pin stripes along the top of the fender/door/quarter pannel and wraps up around the back quarter glass. No recess that. Got a pic of one that has the recess?

Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

are you talking about on the black moulding that goes all the way around the, the 88-89 civics had the recesed area (I think in Canada, the special edition for those years had a silver pin stripe), but the 90-91 years eliminated the recesed area for a smoother look....

Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

ya, exactly, it was on all USDM models from 88-89, but the 90-91 the style changed...most models didn't have a pinstripe however, just the recesion..

Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

oh, our stripes are in a differnt spot, but like viper said I think they eliminated it in 90, but 88/89 have it. But we dont have stripes in it.

Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

it's a euro thing... I like it. It's kind of like getting used to red pinstripe seats in every Si even though the rest of the car may not contain any red at all except for the "Si" badge.

Re: Rubbing/Bump strip Q

The 88-89 moldings are hard to see until you get up close cause then you can tell the difference. It's exactly like your moldings only that the 90-91 doesn't have it except a round smooth look to them. I prefer the smooth look. And again, it's something alot of people don't even notice it.
