Lifter Noise
i've got a 2001 gs. just recently i started getting a ticking noise from my lifter. the car only has 58,000 miles on it. has anybody else had this problem? andsince our cars have hydraulic lifters how hard are they to repair?

I had my piston rings changed, and itdidnt work. Had a complete valve job done and then switched to mobil 1 supersyn, and the engine sounds perfect, NO noises.

Yeah, try an oil change, redline helps alot with lifter tick. Also a different viscosity may solve the problem alot cheaper than replacing the lifters.

all i run is synthetic, with a K & N oilf filter
