Fuse blowing

I am currently working on my friends '94 Olds Bravada and I am having a problem. The Ignition/Gauge fuse keeps blowing and she had it taken to the dealer who did said they did nothing yet, after the fuse did not blow until two days ago. I reconnected a wire under the hood while trying to fix a poor starting problem. I have looked at the wiring diagram and found that the fuse feeds the Transmission, Heated oxygen Sensor, the gauge cluster and what the Haynes book says is a variable tunning deal. The poor starting problem seems to be caused by fuel in the cylinder from leaky poppets also, it is running rich. This leads me to think there is a short at or near the Oxygen sensor. I was hoping someone could help me out.

You should have some trouble codes.
The leaky poppets you describe is likely a leaky CPI or cracked high pressure fuel line inside the intake manifold and either one will delute the engine oil to the point that the crankshaft and bearings will be damaged if not addressed soon. If the wire you reconnected is popping the fuse then disconnect it until you know what it goes to and why that device is shorted.
One major problem with Bravadas are the too short starter wires...makes for a difficult starter change.

My '92 Service Manual shows the Cruise Control Switch, Instrument Cluster, Convenience Center(cigar lighter sockets-provides 12 volts for chargers, games, 12V TV or even refrigerator/coolers or heaters), O2 Sensor heater wire, Variable Tuning Valve Relay, Rear Defogger Switch & Rear Defogger Relay on the Ignition Fuse.

All the +wires are shown as pink/black striped wires(insulation).

I'd check the Convience Center Sockets for food scraps and junk first.
After that a good check of the O2 sensor wires under the car would be next.

Hey thanks man. When I looked at the wiring diagram it did not mention that the fuse also went to the console. There was a penny and a gum wrapper foil that had made they're way into the sockets. So hopefully that was it. I will probably be taking the Intake manifold off next. Again thanks for the help.
