how much to get an ls over 200whp?
hey im thinking about getting a crx but i want to drop a b18b1 engine from an integra ls into it and supercharge the puppy. any ideas what kind of boost id have to run? and any other mods id have to do? i was planning on getting some things for fuel management, maybe new cams, and definetly getting it tuned once its all together. ive heard the b18b can handle up to like 300hp so would i have to upgrade any of the internals? any help you can throw my way on how to get over 200whp would be a big help. and i either want to go n/a or supercharger, so please dont recommend turbo. and ild prefer to not have to have a frankenstein engine so avoid that too if you could, thnx.

thats not really an issue, ill save up as much as i need. but like i said i really only want over 200whp, so hopefully in the 200-250 range would be fine for me.

200whp all motor or 200 whp boost? since u dont want an ls/vtec, 200 whp n/a is going to be extremely hard to reach, higly expensive, and not too mention u will need professionals to help u to ur goal. i wouldn't go this route unless of course u got money, time, and know some good shops.

LS motor with SC, bolt ons, and new cams should be around 200 whp. or if all else fails SC and nirtous.

With boost...you'll definitely see 200whp on the ls motor. All motor is possible but like trans said...its gonna be hard. If you want all motor then get a GSR motor. You saw my post when my boy put 197 to the ground. It didn't take much mods to get it up there.

a jackson racing supercharger running at 8+ psi should get you over 200whp on a completely stock engine. do other mods and you should see somewhat higher numbers.

alrighty, its been decided. crx with an integra LS swap that will eventually have a supercharger strapped to it. hopefully ill get started with this project this spring/summer. prolly get the engine, car and stuff. clean up the engine with new rings/gaskets all that crap. prolly new cams too. then SC will prolly come next summer hehe. alrighty thnx for the help all.

tran_nsx is correct, the compression ratio for a B18B1 is 9.2:1, same as the compression ratio of a B18A1.
