Power Steering Pump
How do I find out if I have variable assist power steering in my 93 3.8L Bird? I was set to buy a new pump, but wasn't sure if it had variable assist or not. There is something attached to the pump sticking out toward the driver's side fender, with a hose and a wiring harness coming out of it. Is this the variable assist mechanism? This piece was not on the new pump, but it looked like it could be mounted on either the one that they said was non-variable assist, as well the one that was variable assist. I hope this makes sense.
