1993 Dodge Caravan 3.0L alternator

I am trying to put on an alternator. I cannot get the belt on and I guess I need to adjust the tensioner. Can you please tell exactly how to adjust the tensioner. Thanks

I usually just take a socket wrench that fits the nut in the end of the pulley.use a pipe to make it a little longer for leverage and just lift up. thwol tension pulley assembly should rotate. ( start juggling here) at the same time with the other hand grab the belt and pull it over the tension pulley. then just release the socket wrench (watch your fingers)
