Any one tried BBR 1/43 resin kit?
How is the quality? Have some good online stores to shop for BBR? Difficulty level relative to Studio27? Thanks.

www.mafma.com
BBR generally has very good detail, but provence moulage had variety on their side. Heard they're not around anymore though. BBR tends to give windscreen surrounds in photoetch, so you need nerves of steel to get it done right the first time.

Quote:
Provence Moulage had annocced to all dealers that they had fold up. (inside news is they got problem with bank.) Same goes with AM Ruf, I do believe those whose lived in Europe should know AMR had past away, and his son is not going to take over the business and what AMR wife said. Worst is all the mold will not sell to any other manufacture to continue the products that they owned. Sad to hear AMR is gone, i love their model...

Re: Any one tried BBR 1/43 resin kit?
BBR kits are excellent quality, as are their hand builts. I've always used www.grandprixmodels.co.uk as suppliers, but I'm sure they are available other places as well. If you want to do Ferrari F1 cars I'd go to Tameo instead, but for any others BBR are fine.
Good tips for their rather easteric glazing system can be found at www.amazing43.com. Personally I've never had a problem with the system, but I know wome people don't get on with it and prefer vacformed glazing. As for AMR, whilst I never built any of his kits I have seen them built and he will be sadly missed, as will PM. Many of you will probably know that I had planned to use them to build this years Le Mans grid, a plan that was saddly ruined by their demise.
