New exhaust rattling... any suggestions?

I got an APEX Dunk a few months ago and put it on myself. It has rattled ever since.(About when I hit 2k rpm.) I thought it was hitting the heat shield, but I took it to a shop and the guy lowered it by bending the hooks and it still does it. Has anyone had this problem or have any suggestions about where it might be coming from??? thanks

the hooks are probobly the cause pf the rattle. check the rear hook (the 1 closest to the muffler) tighten it down and you should be good to go.:flash:

I used all the gaskets, but I didn't check the torque. Do u think it might not be tight enough?

im not too sure but if you put on new bushings with the exhaust, they tend to rattle for awhile until the bushings break in and quieten down. jus my 2 cents

I have a civic, but same principle, when i first got my exhaust, it was rattling, and I didn't know why because I used everything they (Tenzo) gave me, and it still rattled. It turns out there's a $10 piece of hanger that didn't come with the exhaust, but what it does is push the hanger away from the frame, which was what my exhaust was rattling on. The mechanic told me this when I was gettin my oil changed, and he installed it for 10 bucks, no rattles anymore.

Do you remember exactly where it was hitting the frame? I can't really tell where its coming from. I think if I knew then I should be able to easily fix it myself. thanks for your help everybody.

For me, it was in the back, where the hanger hooks to the rubber piece, on its way down, it was touching the frame,so when the car was on, and the muffler shook a little, it was banging the hanger against the frame. So check the back end of the exhaust.
