Only way is to remove the rear wheel well so the window would have somewhere to go, look at the shape of the door.

No. The wheel well is in the way, but take heart, few cars have back windows that roll all the way down for this reason. The Toyota Camry is an exception. On my wife's 2002, they do go all the way down, but the doors are high and there's less rear wheel intrusion.
