Signal light noise?

I just bought a '99 Blazer LS 3 days ago. The day after I bought it I started hearing the signal lights when they weren't on. It would stop after turning the signal on then off again. The next day it did the same sounds followed by a spring like sound but this time the sound would not go away unless my foot was on the brake. Any ideas on what the problem is? Should the dealer fix it for free?

My only guess is check the timing it might be too far advaced. bad knock sensor maybe?-lee
