Question 1992 diesel question?????

I have a 1992 dodge ram 250 diesel. I wanted to know how to hook up a tack to it. Like where does the wire go that reads the rpm's. Thanks for responding!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that they have to be spliced into the ecm harness but I don't know exactly were but if you want I could probly look in a book at you and find out.

A little late here but 92 has tach wiring in, located above e brake in cab. I belueve isspro has an adapter that plugs right in, including lighting
