Sub with Stock Radio on 00 GTP

I bought a 200 Watt Rockford Fosgate Amp. I want to buy a 10" Rockford Fosgate Sub. What sub do you guys recommend and what else do I need to hook it up to my stock radio?

you will need a line-out converter and an amp install kit. The line out converter will adapt the speaker output signal to a line level output, which will reduce distortion.

What brand of hook ups and wires is the best and cheap. I want to get a 10" sub too, how much watts should it be? I need a complete rundown of all the stuff I need. I already got a 200 Rockford Punch Amp

for the money, sony X-plode series subs are pretty decent. as far as the amp install kit, just make sure it has a minimum 10ga power wires and gold plated rca's, brand name doesn't matter. The line out converter is available at any electronics store, and again, brand doesn't really matter.

First of all what model R/F amp? That will determine what sub to buy. As far as Line Out, DO NOT and I mean DO NOT buy a cheap radio shack or any other output converter that hooks to your speakers or factory amplifier. PAC sells a line out that hooks into the deck to give you a solid, constant output, i.e. Voltage not Wattage. I am not sure of the cost, if you are interested I can find out for you, My price may not beat others but I can give you some info to find it yourself, as far as woofers go I would stick with R/F, Soundstream, Fusion, or something along those lines. Sony has never held in high standings with me as far as car audio goes (no offense intended). I am a dealer for R/F, SS, Fusion, SPL, Pioneer, Kicker and some of the cheaper companies as well (Profile, Jensen, Pyle, Power Acoustic and so on). If you guys are interested drop me a line at [email protected] or Email directly on my phone [email protected], also they make an infared repeater so you can install a aftermarket deck and keep your steering wheel controls, I also run a stock deck in my '99 GTP (love the OEM look) and I put two Soundstream VanGogh 12" woofers in with one of their Egde series class D amps w/ bass control and It truly is Sound Q genious. Tight bass or Boom bass is what you need to decide before you buy a speaker but figure between $100-200 depending on what you buy. As far as wiring goes run at least 8ga. wire (to small can cause a fire) I can sell you a kit with RCA's, Fuse holder, 2 fuses, 16ft. red power, 3ft. black ground, 16ft. blue remote wire, 6ft. Split loom to give that OEM appearence under the hood and all connectors needed for $50shipped (Cartoys is 69.99+T or more)depending on where you live. If you need assurance check out www.FusionCarAudio.com and look under dealers in Washington. AK Enterprise D.B.A SS Automotive Phone number is wrong though. Sorry about writing a book, hope this helped.
