Where can I get these headlights?
Does anyone know where I can get these headlights? I have a few questions as well.
1. Where can I get them? and Do they come with bulbs and harnesses? 2. Will they fit perfectly in my 2000 G20? 3. What what type of bulb? (I think they are H1) 4. How would I go about converting the H4 to these? (I have an idea, but not sure. Heres what i think: (correct me if i'm wrong) First, i need to locate which wires are high and low beam on my current H4. Once i do that, i need to separate them. low beams shouldn't be a problem, just connect the wires to the new harnesses (+ and - ) Then for the high beams, i have to ground it somehow. Do i ground it to the negative battery terminal, or a piece of metal in the engine bay. Would this cover it? I'm hoping to still maintain use of high beams, you know, as if my car came like this. 5. What are the wattages in the new headlights? (I need to know if current wires can handle a possibly greater wattage. I'm not sure what the wattage is, so it may not even be a problem) If anyone can help me, PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks |

The first picture is the UK spec headlights. Maybe one of our UK members can help you get them.
The ones on the bottom w/ the black housing are JDM spec HID headlights. I contacted someone in Japan and they went to the dealer to ask them how much the headlights were. The price was about $2400 in Japan. Not to mention shipping them here and customs charges... ![]() Anyhow.. be warned that these are for RHD cars and the headlights will have to be modified to keep from blinding on coming traffic... |

What is RHD? And what do you mean by modifying the headlights? If the headlights (the black housing) were meant for HID, then shouldn't the beam be already adjusted so that the light beam doesn't spread everywhere?
Also, DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's expensive!!!!!!!! Thanks for your help. Any other comments??????? |

RHD = right hand drive. ...cars that have the steering wheel on the opposite side and drive on the other side of the road. Like the UK, Japan, Australia, New Zealand...
The headlights angle in opposite direction... |

oooooooooooooooooo ICIC. Thanks for the input. I never thought of that as an issue to consider. I didn't even know that headlights angle toward driverside. I always thought that it just pointed straight. (Is that what you meant?)

The issue is mainly the passenger side headlight housing because it angles the light up a little higher so that it can shine on road signs on the side of the road. Now, putting RHD lights on a LHD vehicle will shine a little extra light at oncoming drivers.
You can fiddle with the lights if you do get them. It wont be perfect but you can adjust them a bit. At least on the JDM spec ones, Not sure about the UK ones. |
