Oh NO Tell me its not so!!!!!!!11
Bought my wife's 300m less than a year ago...00' w/ 27k on it. Loaded and runs like a charm.
Well it did, she calls me this morning and says that the speedometer stopped working and a light came on so she pulled over....She looked up the light and it said still drivable but needs service. Well she took the back roads to work, because she couldnt get it to shift and the tach was at 4k, at the same time the speedometer wasnt working but she guesses she was going somewhere around 40 mph. Anyone got any idea? I hate the chrysler dealer here but i am afraid its to the dealer i go.... Any suggestions? Bud |

Walked out with a $200 scar and a smile.....shew...boy what a smile... Just thought i would let ya know in case someone else has the same prob.... |

The Chrysler Tranny will automatically lock itself in a lower gear when it detects a problem. It is a "safe mode" that allows you to get it to the repair facility. Same thing happend to my wife's concorde.

Re: Oh NO Tell me its not so!!!!!!!11
if the Guages stop working and you are in "Limp Mode" (stuck in 2nd gear) you need to replace the Transmission Output sensor, If it is just in "Limp Mode" then its usually the Transmission input sensor, and they are like less than $35 each and are user serviceable.
