Exclamation Mitsubishi Performance chips

Has anyone used the velocity performance modules? My buddy got one for his probe and is happy with it but I was curious if anyond had tried the Eclipse chip?? It is the cheapest chip I have been able to locate anywhere. I know they sell them on www.20horsepower.com but was wondering if you could get them cheaper anywhere else as well.

dont waste your time w/ these things, they are just a bunch of scammers trying to make money. I hate the fact that ebay has went from a reliable place of business to a scammers heaven!

Re: Mitsubishi Performance chips

I agree... EBAY is still a great place!!! just use that option of "asking seller a question"
As for the resistor... I've posted it in other thread...
It's just for the RS and GS and if you want to know what it does you don't even need to get one to try it... Wait till it is cool out and your car is completely cooled down... when you start your car it is in it's "cold idle" if you drive it right away it seems to have a little more "ooomph" right? right!
All the chip does is fools the ECU making it think that it needs to be in it's cold idle all the time.
My friend had a grand prix GT and got one of the resistors...he did have a few extra horses and gas mileage went down about 4mpg
I found the same resistor at an AXMAN store and could easily of just grabbed a handfull and pocketed them but at 1cent a piece it wouldn't really matter!!!
They don't work for turbos cause the MAS is different and is hard to "hack" and not worth it!

Re: Mitsubishi Performance chips

If you want the real deal performence chip then check out JET performence. They are the real deal... price is aobut 300-400 and you have to send your ECU to them. =\

Re: Mitsubishi Performance chips

oh no not the evil chip that makes your computer think your engine is like 32* under normal temp. Yeah thats just great. Never buy those they will cause you trouble in the long run.

oh dont get me wrong i love ebay. The thing is that you have to work twice as hard to buy something these days. Yes the ask seller a question tool is helpfull, but i think its really been trashed. I still love ebay though, helps me buy things when im on a budget (which is always ).
