What is your favourite club, and why?

To all you clubbers,
As the basis of a good night out for us is hedonism and escapism in a created environment, please tell us about your favourite club and why it is so good.

Re: What is your favourite club, and why?

To put it simply I don't have one.

Wellington has to have the worst clubs in the world

The thought of Dancing to Britney Spears and NSYNC is far too disturbing for words, so that rules out the Grand and Coyotes, The Fat Ladies Arms has great 80's music every now and then, but the staff are absolute fucking dickheads. The Indigo plays crap music that I've never heard of, nor do I like and it's situated in Hippiesville, Wellington (Or should I say, Cuba St.).

Zeebos is a nice little club, if there's ever anyone in there, which there often isn't.

I reckon Auckland should have some wicked clubs though, the only problem is they're usually in the CBD region, which is over-populated with North Shore wiggers. I leave for Auckland on the 1st of November for 4 months, so I'll deliver my verdict on Aucklands scene once I leave...... I'm hoping it's better than Wellington's lacksture scene, though.

Excellent.

My favourite is Club Home (http://www.homesydney.com.au/), and the best clubbing night there is Sublime (http://www.clubsublime.com.au).

It is 3 levels completely decked out with everything you could want in a club - awesome LCD screens with trippy shit, colours, cameras of the floor and DJs etc. Really top end sound system and laser setup. 4 seperate areas for different genre's and 3 bars! Capacity for just over 2,000 I beleive - can't go too far wrong.

Wellington's lacklustre scene, my arse. Just because you don't like what's played doesn't mean others can't enjoy it.

Indigo = my favourite club. Always something going on, great bar staff, great bouncer (REMEMBER MOSS, HE LET YOU IN WHEN YOU WERE TOO DRUNK FOR OTHER PLACES ) and the balcony just 0wnz.

Wellington's nightlife is fantastic.

It so does mean that.

I'd hate to see what Wellingtons clubs are like when all the students bugger off home for summer, I don't want to imagine it, but the whole scene has gotten really repetitive of late..... It's gotten to the point where Vice patrol and pool 0wnz any form of clubbing.

I'm going to build my own club in Wellington, when I can afford it. It'll play the best in 70's/80's/90's music none of this other shit that's getting served up today, songs that people actually know (Nothing worse than dancing to a song that you don't know), serve every spirit/beer under the sun, have a fuckload of good pool tables (Like the ones at the Ballroom, not the crap excuses for tables that the Grand has.) and hire good bouncers (Like the one at the Indigo) and let people drink as much as they want, I'll also make it celebrate popular culture- just so I can keep the Bohemians out.

My ideas rock.

Re: What is your favourite club, and why?

FYI, the clubs do rock when the students are gone.

Maybe you just think they suck because you've only been to them when the students are here
