2000 Mazda MPV Headlight Malfunction Burning Smell
Two weeks ago our 2000 MPV began emitting a burning smell (not sulphurous) only noticable when in the driver's seat. Shortly thereafter the burning smell stopped, but the low beam headlights ceased working, and the light behind the shifter indicator went out. The high beams (blue light) are indicated when the headlight controller is set in the center position (low beam), but no headlights come on, and the high beams work normally if the controller is set to the high beam position. Can anyone offer clues to where to begin troubleshooting this malfunction?
Also, the front passenger side door actuator has been replaced multiple times without solving the issue: the passenger side door will not open. Related, electrically? Cheers, Barry Stock Hollywood, Florida, USA |
