Talking Our good deed for the day!

Well we've just done our good deed for the day.

Rescued a poor hedgehog from our pool. Looked like the poor thing had been swimming all day

Took him to the vets and now he's all warm and snug!

hehe, we rescued one last year too. Poor little thing sneezed all the way to the vets so they put him in an incubator for a few days and then we brought him back home and released him in the park next door.

Why use an incubator when youve got a perfectly good microwave.

No part of a hedgehog is metal is it

Hedgehogs are dirty discusgusting creatures that carry more disease than the average south auckland rat. They destroy native plants on a regular basis, as well as enjoying the odd Kiwi egg for breakfast.

They are a pest, and serve no useful purpose save for being highway targets.

Sorry FTO girl, im sure you had good intentions, and it shows a huge degree of compasion to do what you did, but its like stoping to give a possum CPR after you've run it over.

Hitting them after they've just eaten is the worst. Especialy in something large and heavy like a truck. You end up with this half digested spread of leaves and plant material spread all over the inside of the wheel cover, and down the side of the vechile. :apuke:
Of course thier a little bit past needing CPR then.

Actualy it bounces up and jumps over them.

The frount cross member is very low, and besides scraping on a lot of driveways is the perfect height for braining possums and rabbits, and rolling hedgehogs. :frog:

(sorry FTO Girl im sure your little hedgehog is happily snuffling way under someones hedge )

I'm sure the little bugger is all warm and snug, but wouldn't it had been fine if you let the sucker loose after extracting it from the pool?
