Exclamation 2.5 to 2.8 swap

alright, I have an 89 s10, 4cyl. (2.5) blew the engine, took it out, now replacing with a 2.8. everything has been put in place and hooked up... no fuel coming to the injectors, don't hear fuel pump come on when switch is on, poured gas in throttle body and it started. test light shows no fire in the wire going to the fuel pump, I don't see any blown fuses in the fuse box (which fuse goes to the fuel pump??) gonna take the fuel pump out tomorrow and test it.. any other suggestions would be great

also wiring diagrams for the 2.5 and 2.8 would help, thanks

First of all, you will never get it to run with the comp from the 4 cyl. The 2.8, I'm assuming here, is a V6. You have a few changes to do that will take a little time.

Go buy a Haynes manual or similar. You will need it.

I would also contact Painless Performance www.painlessperformance.com about it, they make wiring harnesses, and adaptors.

yea, we did use the comp from the 2.8 not the 2.5, as well as the tank, fuel pump, other stuff

autozone.com has all the wiring diagrams and spec you will need
