dodge/eagle 2000 gtx questions.

Ok. I bought a 91 dodge/eagle 2000 gtx 2.0 single over head cam. Not all wheel drive. No big money...It's just a winter beater. Anyway. There is a button on the console that allows you to switch from "power" to "econo." Anybody have any idea what this does?

Re: dodge/eagle 2000 gtx questions.

Sorry to double post...but I ended up finding the answer to my original question.
Now I have another. Same car (obviously)
I am getting blue smoke from my exhaust after the car heats up. I have to assume my valve seals are shot. However. I was told that a bad pcv valve can cause an engine to blow blue smoke from your exhaust as well. Is that true?
Also. The valve pan cover takes about two minutes to remove...so I can easily see my valve seals. Is there any way to tell if your valve seals are worn out by looking at them?

There really isn't a way to check the valve guide seals, if you see blue smoke coming out the tailpipe, then they're gone, time to get them fixed. But the PCV thing, it is true, if you see oil in your pcv valve, replace it, it's easier to replace a pcv valve than valve guide seals.
