check the battery voltage/loose battery terminals (under the back seat)
also check the starter and see it the connection is loose there

check voltage with a voltmeter
check terminals by jiggling connection and tighten if necessary

Re: 95 aurora wont start

OK:

The battery in this beast is located in the back seat. Take some Duct tape and tape up the seat rear seat belts. Then on reach under the back seat towards the door feel for a hand grip and pull. The seat pulls out real easy. You will see the battery. If you battery has a window and look forb the color. If the eye is green your ok, in not if black this could be that some of the cells are bad.

The leads are well marked take a wrench and tigten the leads.
If the car still does not car, you need to pull the battery out.
The sucker is heavy and there is a wedge nut you need to lossen ands remove as well as the leads to pull the battery to have it checked by a auto parts store.

If its not the battery it has to be the starter or a seized compressor cluch asembly.

Good luck, need more help, write me at [email protected]

Re: 95 aurora wont start

k.. either your battery is dead, your starter is dead or your alternator.. I thought the first 2 went out in my car as well as the fuel pump when my car wouldnt start. I'd been having problems for the last 6 months, where sometimes it would crank for the first 10 trys and start the 11th.. sometime it wouldnt even crank for the first 3-5 trys then finaly give responce.. crank a few times and start.. then one day i went out to the car and it wouldnt start at all. thought the battery died or one of the other two things had gone out.. jump started it.. drove for a while.. pretty sure it was the battery, then next day wouldnt start again.. jumpstarted it, took it to a shop and they said the alternator was bad.

Re: 95 aurora wont start

This problem happened from time to time ever since I got the 95'. Just a "click" ! No cranking. Checked battery volt.
But I now know how to do when this happens. Before jumping into the car, use the remote start. However, I have to cross my fingers since usually it takes more than one press-button of the key. Sometime I was in a rush and on fire, I opened the hood and pulled some wires(cables?). Then it started happily.

Don't think it's because of bad battery either.

i have the same problem, i have noticed that when I am having the problem i can tilt the steering column while holding the key in the start position and it will start. this leads me to believe that there is a loose connection somewhere in there... but i have yet to fix it.
