Exclamation Driveshaft question

I have a 1997 Blazer Lt with AWD (option F46). The front shafts ujoints are bad. But they are in a double cardan joint with a ball and socket between the ujoints. I can get the ujoints at auto zone, but no one seems to understand what I am talking about when it comes to the ball and socket. Does anyone know where I can get the ball and socket from???? I can see a grease fitting but I dont think it was ever greased. It it completely rotted out with rust and need replaced. Thanks for any help.

Re: Driveshaft question

I suggest taking a photo of it and taking it into the dealer and finding out what the real name of the part is.

Its actually pretty hard to find this support bearing, and its a long drawn out process of installing, half installing, half removing etc the u joitns to set up the cardan.

advance sells lifetime warranty reman shafts for about $100, this is something you WILL have to do if any metal from the 'socket' side of the bearing is gone or if the 'ball' side has a galled shaft
